Peach Days
Ferron Peach Days are drawing closer with the Peach Days Queen Pageant and Peach Blossom Pageant scheduled for August. The Queen pageant will be Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Emery High Auditorium and the Peach Blossom Pegeant will be at the Emery High Auditorium on Aug. 30 at 6 p.m.
Peach Days events will begin on Sept. 4 with Parade your Pet at 6 p.m. at the Mayor’s Park and culminate with a day full of activities on Sept. 8.
Volunteer
Needed
A volunteer is needed to help find grant money, fill out applications, and do public relations work to help fund the Emery Scholarship Fund. Contact Tyler Jeffs at 435-381-2333 for more information.
Service Project
The Children’s Justice Center is having a service project and is looking for the community to support it with donations.
Items needed:
• Paper Products (paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, paper plates, paper cups)
• Baby Care Items (diapers, wipes, latex gloves, diaper cream, body wash, lotions)
• Food items (canned fruits/veggies, boxed food)
• Quilts (twin/crib sizes, boys and girls)
• Gently used toys (all ages)
Clothing Giveaway: (Aug. 3)
• Need clothes and school supplies. The clothing giveaway is held the first Friday in August every year, same items are always needed.
• Gently used clothes for boys and girls.
? Sizes 2T up to size 16 (pants/shirts)
? Underwear (all sizes for boys and girls)
? New socks (all sizes for boys and girls)
? PJ’s (sizes 2T and up, boys and girls)
? Shoes (all sizes for boys and girls)

Moving Day: The justice center will be needing help moving its furniture and office equipment to a storage shed before Sept. 1, 2007. Dates will be announced when they become available. Food Handlers
There will be a Food Handler’s Class Aug. 23 and Sept. 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. at SEUDHD-25 West Main Castle Dale. For more information call 381-2252
Emery All-Star Cheerleading

Soldiers
Addresses
American Legion Auxiliary #42 of Ferron is looking for addresses from people of Emery County that have loved ones serving our country in a war zone such as Iraq or Afghanistan.
The Legion has a program called “Operation Home Support” which sends packages to soldiers, but we need help from Emery County Residents with the name and addresses of your loved ones that are serving.
They need packages from “Operation Home Support” to let them know they aren’t forgotten and that we care and we support them. Please contact us if you have a family member serving. Call Jan Hess 384-2753 or Dixie Swasey at 384-3172.
New Beginnings
AL-ANON Meeting for families and friends of Alcoholics will be held every Wednesday at 6:30 PM in the Ferron City Hall Building at 15 South State.
Bible Study
