Service Project
The Children’s Justice Center is having a service project and is looking for the community to support it with donations.
Items needed:
• Paper Products (paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, paper plates, paper cups)
• Baby Care Items (diapers, wipes, latex gloves, diaper cream, body wash, lotions)
• Food items (canned fruits/veggies, boxed food)
• Quilts (twin/crib sizes, boys and girls)
• Gently used toys (all ages)
Clothing Giveaway: (Aug. 3)
• Need clothes and school supplies. The clothing giveaway is held the first Friday in August every year, same items are always needed.
• Gently used clothes for boys and girls.
? Sizes 2T up to size 16 (pants/shirts)
? Underwear (all sizes for boys and girls)
? New socks (all sizes for boys and girls)
? PJ’s (sizes 2T and up, boys and girls)
? Shoes (all sizes for boys and girls)
• School Supplies:
? Notebooks, pencils, erasers
? Backpacks (new or gently used, boys and girls)
Moving Day: The justice center will be needing help moving its furniture and office equipment to a storage shed before Sept. 1, 2007. Dates will be announced when they become available. San Rafael Junior High School registration will be July 31, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Information packets will be mailed prior to the registration.

Humanity
Silent Auction
Habitat for Humanity of Castle Country is having a Silent Auction on a donated “panel saw”. Make your bid on Aug. 1, at the Emery County Yard Sale HFH booth, or mail your bid to P O Box 724, Price UT 84501. For details about the saw, call Gordon at 435-637-2988. Bid deadline is Aug. 8. All proceeds and donations at this time go to complete the wheel-chair accessible house in Castle Dale for Rebecca and family. Food Handlers Class

Soldiers Addresses Needed
American Legion Auxiliary #42 of Ferron is looking for addresses from people of Emery County that have loved ones serving our country in a war zone such as Iraq or Afghanistan.
The Legion has a program called “Operation Home Support” which sends packages to soldiers, but we need help from Emery County Residents with the name and addresses of your loved ones that are serving.
They need packages from “Operation Home Support” to let them know they aren’t forgotten and that we care and we support them. Please contact us if you have a family member serving. Call Jan Hess 384-2753 or Dixie Swasey at 384-3172.
New Beginnings
AL-ANON Meeting for families and friends of Alcoholics will be held every Wednesday at 6:30 PM in the Ferron City Hall Building at 15 South State.
