Hugh and LeOra Fish
A surprise tribute was planned at the Star Theatre and Fun Center Grill in Huntington by the grill staff and the Val Jensen band as they recognized Hugh and LeOra Fish as an example of lifelong love and devotion.
According to Hugh, “Love isn’t just for certain days of the year, but every day of the year. Especially when you are married to a wonderful woman like I am.”
Hugh and LeOra were married on July 15, 1948 and will celebrate 60 years together this year. Unconditional love is the theme of their successful marriage they both said.
Star Grill owner Percy Mounteer read a tribute to the couple while friends and family helped celebrate. They were presented with a certificate of appreciation for being outstanding examples to others when it comes to making a relationship meaningful, a bottle of sparkling cider and thank you from all who attended
“There have been adversities in our life and marriage, just like with anyone else. We have had differences and we just would take the time to talk through them and find the best solution together,” LeOra said and Hugh nodded his agreement. |
