Emery Youth City Council Service Auction

 

The Emery Youth City Council will hold a Service Auction June 19 at 6 p.m. at the Emery Town Ballpark.  The youth city council will auction off service items from yard mowing to baby sitting to painting or car washing to residents as a fund raiser to gather funds for the installation of new ballpark lights.

 

Orangeville Youth City Council Presents A Night at the Movies

 

The Orangeville Youth City Council will present a night at the movies at the Orangeville City Park at dusk on June 22.  The movie will be A Princess Bride and will be shown on the back of the old fire station at the park.  There is no cost for the movie and concessions will be sold by the youth city council for activities throughout the year.  All youth and families are invited for an old fashioned night at the movies.

 

Emery County Gun Club

 

The June Shooting Schedule for the Emery County Gun Club will be June 23. Women and youth shoot will be 5 p.m. to 7p.m. Everyone is welcome to shoot after 7 p.m. Bring the family for a night of fun! A variety of games for everyone to enjoy! Games include Practice Rounds, Annie Oakley’s, Blue Birds, Buddy Piece Shoots, One Man Piece Shoot, 20 Bird Buddy Shoot, 3 Man Buddy, Draw for Partner Buddy Shoots.

 

Emery High Spardette Fundraiser

 

Emery High Spardette car wash and yard sale fundraiser will be June 23, 2007 at the Orangeville City Park from 9 a.m. To 4 p.m.. Lots of items to choose from!

 

 

Play It Safe Summer Time Safety

 

June 27 at 11 a.m. in Huntington at the Lions Park, Martin Wilson from The Emery County Sheriffs Office will be there to assist in bike rodeo and summer safety tips. Ages 3-12, bring your bikes.

 

Vendors & Crafters

 

Pioneer Day in Emery will be celebrated on July 21. Call Emery Town Office at (435)286-2417 to reserve space for your booths to sell your wares, food and crafts.

Junior Golf Program

 

Emery County Recreation will be sponsoring a junior golf program for youth ages 8-17. This program will run June 18, 25 and July 2 from 8 a.m.–3 p.m. You will receive a coupon at the time of registration. Registration will be June 6 from 4-6 p.m. at the Emery County Recreation office located at 75 South 400 East, Castle Dale. You may also download a registration form and waiver on our website www.emerycounty.com/rec. This program will be conducted at Millsite Golf Course. Biker’s Against Child Abuse

 

Biker’s Against Child Abuse is having their 2nd Annual Run. The Spring for the Children Run will be held June 23rd at 9:00 AM Starting at Kokopelli’s in Price. All Proceeds to benefit Children’s advocacy.

2007 Summer Camp Registration

 

The Emery County Education Council has put together camps for age groups Pre-K to 12th Graders. The following are the camps that are available: Paleontology Camp, Archaeology Camp, Wildlife Conservation Camp, Entrepreneurship Camp, Computer Technology Camp, CSI: Emery County, 9-Mile Archaeology Camp, Dinosaur Day Camp, and Mini Dino Day Camp. Soldiers Addresses Needed

 

American Legion Auxiliary #42 of Ferron is looking for addresses from people of Emery County that have loved ones serving our country in a war zone such as Iraq or Afghanistan.

The Legion has a program called “Operation Home Support” which sends packages to soldiers, but we need help from Emery County Residents with the name and addresses of your loved ones that are serving.

They need packages from “Operation Home Support” to let them know they aren’t forgotten and that we care and we support them. Please contact us if you have a family member serving. Call Jan Hess 384-2753 or Dixie Swasey at 384-3172.

AL-ANON Meeting for families and friends of Alcoholics will be held every Wednesday at 6:30 PM in the Ferron City Hall Building at 15 South State.
