MarJean Matilda Bowden Eden Clarke

ORANGEVILLE - Our loving mother, MarJean Matilda Bowden Eden Clarke, 81, passed away peacefully February 1, 2008, at the home of her son, Henry Clarke. She was born May 4, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to George Clarence and Sarah Ann Rawson Bowden. She married William Joseph Eden in May 1942. They later divorced in 1945. She then married Henry Gordon Clarke Sr. on March 22, 1946. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on May 21, 1966.
MarJean grew up in Garfield, Utah, learning many homemaking skills from her mother. She was known for her cooking and crocheting talents, having made quilts for all of her children and grandchildren. She loved camping and fishing and left us all with an appreciation for the outdoors.
She is survived by her children: Pat (Paul) Hill of Price, SueAnn (John) Naranjo of West Valley, Kathy (Van) Cook of Eureka, California, Henry (Janice) Clarke Jr. of Orangeville, and Shawnee Clarke of Orangeville; 3 brothers: George Clarence Bowden Jr. of Magna, Marvin Bowden of Ferron, and Lawry Bowden of Hurricane; 34 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Gordon Clarke Sr.; five sons: William Rodney (Billy Joe) Eden, Ronald Lee Eden, Kelly D. Clarke, Davies Clarke, and Kim Clarke; three sisters: Betty (Mike) Davidson, Vayomi (George) Beagley, and Marsha (David) McCleve; one brother, Richard (Edna Goudeni) Bowden; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the Price LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 303 West 500 South. A viewing will be held at Fausett Mortuary in Price Tuesday, February 5th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Internment will be in the Price City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.

Jenifer LaNae Sherman

HUNTINGTON-Jenifer LaNae Sherman, 26, passed away January 28, 2008. She was born December 12, 1981, in Denver, Colorado. She was the second of four children born to John Lee and Sheli Ann McCullough.
Jenifer grew up and attended school in the state of Washington. She moved to Utah in 2002 where she met and later married Matthew Jon Sherman on May 18, 2006 in Castle Dale.
Jenifer enjoyed doing puzzles, collecting dolphins, dancing, and singing. She also loved the outdoors, playing horseshoes, camping, fishing, and animals—especially her pets. She was a poet and wrote many poems. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Utah Jazz fan.
Jenifer will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter and sister. She was a very giving person always helping others.
Jenifer is survived by her husband, Matt Sherman of Huntington; children; Jazmyn Lee McCullough, Matthew Jaymz Sherman Jr., and stepdaughter; Jozie Malyn Sherman; parents, John and Sheli McCullough of Hawaii; siblings: Jason L. McCullough of Orangeville, Jozlyn L. McCullough of Castle Dale, Jashua L. McCullough of Salt Lake City; mother-in-law, Sandra Jackson of Huntington; brother-in-law, Del Burnside of Huntington.

Mildred Marie Guy Hidey

CASTLE DALE - Mildred Marie Guy Hidey, 81, passed away on January 31, 2008, in Price, Utah. Mildred was born on April 29, 1926, to Pearl Dewitt and Fanny Delightful Guy in Troutville, Virginia. She married Moyne Francis Hidey, Sr. on April 10, 1945, in Russell, Kentucky.
Mildred was a very special wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma. She was a special friend and was loved by all who knew her. Mildred was a very spiritual person who loved her Lord and Savior. She was a wonderful, cook, and loved her family. She was the rock of our family, and we will miss her dearly. Bye Mom! We will miss you! Love ya!
She is survived by her husband; 2 children: Brenda Joyce (Donald) Cologie of Ferron, and Moyne Francis (Anna Marie) Hidey, Jr. of Price; 2 siblings: Evelyn Haja of Roanoke, Virginia, and Roy Guy of Leesville, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and
9 great-great-grandchildren.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Clyde Guy, Alvin Guy, and Paul Guy, Sr.; a great-granddaughter; and a special sister-in-law.
Memorial services were February 4, 2008, at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale. Services in the care of Fausett Mortuary.

Maria Roybal

COLUMBIA, UTAH /SALT LAKE - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, Maria Valencia Roybal, age 91, passed away on January 30, 2008 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born October 26, 1916 to Samuel and Carlotta Gomez Valencia in El Rancho, New Mexico.
On June 23, 1941she married Frank Roybal, Sr. in Santa Cruz, New Mexico.
In 1946 Frank and Maria moved to Columbia, Utah and for the last seven years she resided at Garden Terrace Alzheimer’s Facility.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband who passed away on June 23, 1986; her parents, infant, daughter Maria; brother, Manuel Valencia; sisters, Esther J. Martinez and Ricarda Valencia; grandsons, Tony Aguayo and Stephen Bourque.
Maria is survived by her children, Frank (Louise) Roybal, Jr, of Columbia, Utah, Victoria (JR) Aguayo, Albert (Judy) Roybal both of Salt Lake City, Alberta (Louis) Bourque of Scarborough, Maine and Sandy, Utah; her only remaining sister, Teresa Quintana of El Rancho, New Mexico; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Garden Terrace for their compassionate care of Maria.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, February 5, 2008, 10:00 a.m., Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Vigil service, Monday evening 7:00 p.m., at the church in East Carbon. Family will receive friends at the church Monday and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Price City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price.

Dorothy Dye

FRUITA, Colo. / PRICE-Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Dorothy Louise Bigham Dye, age 50, passed away suddenly January 29, 2008 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction.
She was born May 18, 1957 in Price to David and Juanita Phillips Bigham.
Married Kenneth “Kenny” D. Dye, August 4, 1979 in Price.
Dorothy was a big fan of the Denver Bronco’s, Elvis, and her greatest memories were those of visiting Graceland. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survived by her husband, Kenny Dye, Fruita; brother, Alfred (Kathy) Bigham, Price; daughter, Jessica (Don) Hernandez, Grand Junction; son, Rick Dye, Fruita; step-children, Lloyd , Justin Dye, and Sherelle Crouch, all of Idaho Falls, ID; grandchildren, Espin and Aniston Hernandez.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; and a infant daughter Rochelle Dye.
Graveside service, Friday, February 1, 2008, 1:00 p.m. Price City Cemetery. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Friday from 12:00 noon to 12:45 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home.

Beverly Lander

PRICE- Beverly Spensko Lander, age 60, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2008 at her home due to heart failure.
She was born January 31, 1947 in Wattis, Utah to John and Mozell Collier McIntosh.
Beverly married Ron Spensko and they raised their family in Spring Glen, later divorcing. She was a longtime resident of Helper. In 1992, Beverly married her second husband Vopel Lander and they made their home in Price. After his untimely death she continued to live in Price, where she could be closer to her sister and brother- in-law. They were always there for her and she loved them for all they did. There will never be enough Thank you’s. She will be missed dearly, but we find comfort in knowing she is at peace.
Survived by her two sons, Shane (Suzie) Spensko; Chance (Becky) Spensko; grandchildren, Lindsey, Steven, Alison, Mitchell (Tressa); Anja, Keith; and a great-grandchild to be born in August; sister, Ronnie (Raymond) Coleman; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vopel Lander; sister, Janice World; and grandson Alex Wade Spensko.
Memorial service, Thursday, February 7, 2008, 3:00 p.m. Mitchell Funeral Home.
