The Sound of Music

Emery County High School, in partnership with the Emery County Community Theater, will present the musical production of the Sound of Music on Feb. 28, 29 and March 1 at 7 p.m.
The play will be presented using a unique concept in theater productions; it will not have any scenery or backdrop. According to Neal Peacock, director, the audience will “supply the scenery with your mind and imagination.” There will be a full orchestra and the audience will sing along with the cast.
Leading parts of Baron Von Trapp and Maria will be played by Jacob Barnett and Tricia Erickson.

Orangeville City Dog Licenses

Dog Licenses are now due for the coming year and are available at the Orangeville City Hall. The fees are $8 for spayed/neutered and animals and $25 for non-altered dogs.
A Rabies clinic will be held on Jan. 12 and Feb. 23 from 10 a.m. to Noon for those who need their dogs vaccinated.

Buckhorn Archery Club Winter League

The Buckhorn Archer’s winter leagues is about to start up. If you have a bow and some arrows, come and join the fun. It will get you out of the house and off the couch for some fun once a week. You will also get in shooting shape for next year archery bow hunt. It is something your entire family can do together. Plus it is just plain fun!
The winter league will start Jan. 9. The first night will be sign up night starting at 4 p.m. and we will also have a fun shoot that night.
If you cannot make it the 9th you can join anytime all season long.
Registration is still $20 a single, or $30 for a family. You must purchase insurance and the cost is $7 per year. If you are helping a young shooter you also have to purchase the insurance even if you are not shooting a bow. No exception, everyone who is participating must have insurance.
If you are a person 18 or younger and are still in school the nightly fee is free for you, but you still have to pay the registration fee and for insurance.
If you have a child and you would like them to get involved come and talk with us. Archery helps kids have confidence in themselves.
We will be having 3-D indoor shoots as well as our annual 3D Shoot up Huntington Canyon in May. If you are a dedicated hunter you can get your hours with the club by helping through out the league year (talk with Randy).
